DPT had a bonza year with many lovely, lovely students who were a joy to train and who are now in the workforce. Look back with us.

Highlights for DP training from 2015 were:

  • Over 20 courses were run in 5 locations from Sunshine Coast QLD to Newcastle NSW
  • 5 different Certificates were taught plus 3 up skilling specialist courses
  • Over 400 students successfully completed these courses
  • 85% gained employment after graduation – a fantastic result!
  • 2015 was the first year of external student intake and was very successful for online students.
  • Placement success. We placed all students within a month of class completion – a great result in a highly competitive marketplace. This demonstrates the strength of DPT networks and we are a preferred student provider in many facilities
  • Jo, (admin guru) scanned over 120000 pages of assessment to comply with VET sector record keeping. Mighty job Jo.
  • Social media continues to be a great communication device for our students. This is the 40th blog written and there are over 300 Facebook posts. The most popular posts were student photos of prac days.

A wrap up by wonderful Sunshine Coast trainer Raylee Gormley.

"We began the year on the Sunshine Coast as a brand new training provider for the area.  We believe we have enhanced the quality of training available for the people of the region and have been providing training opportunities that are very difficult to access with other providers.  Our highlight was moving to our brand new training premises in Ocean St.  This is a busy hub in the area, and hopefully will fully realise the potential of growth for DP Training.  We were able  offer very diverse training opportunities – as well as the Cert 3 & Cert 4 community services courses offered, we have branched out into PEG Feeding Workshops, Epilepsy Workshops, Diabetes Workshops, Midazolam Administration, First Aid & CPR and Manual Handling training.  We have also become involved in assisting organisation develop their policies in the area of manual handling and medication administration.  Here on the Sunshine Coast, we’re looking forward to a year of growth in 2016 – one that will further enhance our reputation as a quality training provider"
