This course offers students the opportunity to obtain two qualification specializations in the one programme, upon successful completion of all units of competency.

The content has been specifically designed to incorporate adult learning principles, so that our students can bring their life skills and incorporate these into the training requirements for the industry.

Our course program includes :

1) Classroom based training:
classroom attendance – “Face to Face” - training with industry qualified trainers. This is of great assistance for those who wish to build up confidence, learn from trainers experienced in the industry and brush up their studying skills. We offer face to face learning two days per week for 12 weeks, you can select Group A, held on Monday & Tuesdays or Group B, Held Thursdays & Fridays with additional weekly trainer support sessions held each Wednesday.

Additional self directed learning options are provided to enhance your learning experience and share your knowledge with your class peers and trainer each week.

1) Online based training:
As part of this course two subjects will be facilitated via our online student portal.

2) On the job training - volunteer hours :

Practical workplace training through a Vocational Placement is a strong focus of our course program. This practical approach to learning will prepare our students to ease into the120 hours of on the job training required to gain the qualification. DP Training will arrange a vocational placement with a Service Provider with who our RTO holds a current agreement.

Our Training Organisation will support students to organise the vocational placement - work experience with an accredited care provider. It can be an aged care facility, health care, disability or community based service provider where direct care is provided.

Vocational placement is structured workplace learning, a vocational placement student log book is developed to support you to meet the requirements of all tasks to be completed during your placement. These tasks support you to prepare for the workforce. Vocational Placement is an important part of the program that has been designed for students to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to a practical level in a workplace environment.
